Recently the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce was nationally recognized as one of three finalists for National Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). And while the top honor was not bestowed on the WPCC, the true joy lies in witnessing the heartfelt support of our Winter Park community as they cheered on the Chamber at a watch party as well as a group gathered on a zoom link to the ACCE awards ceremony.
The City of Winter Park is blessed to have a chamber of commerce that is enthusiastic, engaged and innovative so much so that they were a natural choice for the ACCE Chamber of the Year. This group of professionals have lifted up our community by bringing together people and ideas for the betterment of our businesses and the people that reside here. My business has been in Winter Park for 33 years – I’ve seen the ups and downs of our town. Never has I been more proud to be a local business owner in Winter Park then this week.
To be transparent, I have been a member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce board for the last three years. When asked to serve, I didn’t hesitate. This Chamber is one of the finest in the country. Their programs that benefit our community are second to none. From Leadership Winter Park (LWP Class 32 Rocks!), Relaunch and Good Morning Winter Park to Youth Leaders, the Prosperity Score Card . Beyond their programs are their signature events; Autumn Art Festival, the Best of Winter Park (of which in 2022 DBG Promotions was awarded the Best Marketing & Media Company), Christmas Parade, Cheers to You!, Legislative Update, Political Mingle, State of the City, Winter on the Avenue, Winter Park Outlook and Women of Influence. One only needs to look at the community leaders and businesses who help sponsor these amazing programs and events to know that the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce is deeply committed to businesses and people who live or visit our city!
Am I a fan of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce…. Absolutely! If you live or work in Winter Park, I strongly suggest joining our chamber and getting involved.
